I want to take this chance to thank you - Sharon, for the many emails you have sent.
I do not know you personally, yet your heartwarming and simple gestures never fail to make me smile. I really appreciate all those emails. Thank you, really.

Hole-in-one
That silly boy got a hole-in-one a few days back during one of his golf games.
He was so happy and he told me he would bring me to the golf course to see his name.
Then, I went to google about hole-in-one and I must say
"Baby, I'm so proud of you"
We shall have a belated celebration when I go over next month k? =)

The Principle of Honour
Today, during our Skype session, one of the topics that sprung up in our conversation was about the Rafflesian's Principle of Honour.
and Dearie was telling me how he religiously adhere to this code of conduct... =P
The Principle of Honour is as follows:
"In Intellectual pursuit, I shall reflect discipline and passion for learning, and in personal conduct, I shall live in integrity and regard individuals, groups and the community with kindness and respect, and in so doing, uphold the Rafflesian Principle of Honour."
I'm glad we both have the Rafflesian blood in us. =)

Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower - Paris
It was wet in Paris.

(picture of us - all drenched and pathetic - after walking many streets under the rain)
It was pouring for the 2 days I was there.
Despite the cold and the rain, the 3 of us went out anyway.
Without an umbrella.
Smart, I must say. LOL
First day there -

Was fortunate to have Pagan (my batch girl) and Serene with me.
Pagan, was there on the flight that arrived one day earlier, so we have already planned to meet in Paris a couple of days before the flight =)
Serene, was on my flight. and I knew her for quite some time already since we did a couple of flights together plus a paxing flight from Perth =P
The 3 of us attempted to walk to Eiffel Tower, and the supposedly perfect plan was disrupted by the sudden pour. Left with no other choices, we had to run somewhere to seek shelter.
Fortunately, we chanced upon this place that sells pretty macarons, muffins and chocolates.

So, we spent some time there while waiting for the rain to stop.

How to resist such pretty Macarons?

Its about SGD$3.50 for one small round thing like this.
But I can't deny its worth every single cent cos it is awfully-orgasmic yummy!
Not to mention, they had pretty packaging and boxes that comes with it =P
We didnt want to risk catching a cold in the menacing rain, so we gave Eiffel Tower a miss on the first day.
Instead, we snapped some photos at Arc de Triomphe on our way back to the hotel.

This monument stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle.
It honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars.
Peggy and I in front of the monument:

Serene and I:

We headed back to the hotel and I hopped over to Pagan's room for a visit.
To my horror:

I think she brought her whole mama shop to Paris!
and she brought like the most unique food:
Lots of sour plum-

Herbal Jelly-

Caramel popcorn-

which I couldnt stop eating. haha
and she had like one whole loaf of raisin bread, 2 big bottles of sugared water, instant soup, noodles, and other snacks. For just 2 days.
She told me she brought like 7 bottles of sugared water before.
Yah, she's my crazy batch girl! LOL
After which, Serene and I went for dinner and

We had unlimited Mussels and Fries for dinner:
Sinful but heavenly!!!

and the creme brulee completes my meal
Day 2 in Paris:
Weather was fine in the early afternoon, so we took a slow stroll to the Eiffel Tower. It was about 30-45mins walk.
As Pagan has already checked out this morning, so it was down to just Serene and I to conquer the Tower.
We caught sight of the beauty from far:

Then, we were right beside it!

When I saw this beauty, at that very instant, I knew right away that I'm just missing 2 things. My Canon 50D and My boy.
It would be more than perfect if I had both of them with me =)
I didnt go up cos I wanna save my virgin trip up there for my Dearie =)

Didnt go up, but we went under it:
hehe

It started to pour again, so we took a metro back:

Happy cos we conquered another wonder!
